Three Belles Marina Cafe is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to help lead our restaurant team and deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.

Located on the waterfront at Three Belles Marina in Niantic, our cafe serves both marina members and the general public in a busy, welcoming environment. The Front of House Manager will work directly with the Restaurant General Manager and Head Chef to coordinate daily service, maintain high standards, support the waitstaff, and ensure smooth communication between the front and back of house.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 to 5 years of front of house restaurant experience, including experience supervising employees and managing service during busy shifts. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable leading from the floor, solving problems in real time, and setting a strong example for the entire team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct waitstaff during daily restaurant service
  • Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager and Head Chef
  • Expedite orders and ensure food is delivered accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain high standards for food presentation, service, cleanliness, and hospitality
  • Coordinate communication between the kitchen, servers, hosts, bussers, and other restaurant staff
  • Train, coach, and support front of house employees
  • Assign sections, side work, and daily responsibilities
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address questions, concerns, or service issues
  • Help maintain efficient table flow and appropriate service timing
  • Ensure employees follow restaurant policies, service standards, and safety procedures
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
  • Help maintain a professional, organized, and positive work environment
  • Support the General Manager with scheduling, staff performance, and daily restaurant operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of front of house restaurant experience
  • Previous experience supervising, training, or directing restaurant staff
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant service and front of house operations
  • Ability to confidently expedite food during busy service periods
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A guest-focused attitude and genuine interest in hospitality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with restaurant management and kitchen staff
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable taking responsibility for shift operations
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced indoor and outdoor restaurant environment
  • Ability to lift and carry restaurant supplies, trays, and other items as needed
