Three Belles Marina is an authorized mooring provider for the towns of East Lyme, Waterford, and Old Lyme and offers all-inclusive mooring services, including full system builds, inspections, and reservicing. We offer different service packages and work with your needs to build the right package for you.

All moorings require a permit in compliance with the town’s harbor master. See links below.

Mooring Services

New Mooring Build

Every mooring build is designed to accommodate your unique vessel characteristics and the environment in which you intend to keep it. Active ocean areas require much more robust setups than those in quiet areas not subject to waves, wind, and strong currents. We work with you, your vessel specifications, and your individual town requirements to build the right mooring setup to serve your specific needs.

Full Time Services

This service will continue until canceled by the customer in writing.

Three Belles Marina will haul your entire mooring assembly each year, perform an inspection (with an estimate if repairs exceed $400), and recondition as needed. Your mooring will also be stored for the winter. In the spring we will reset your mooring, with a freshly painted ball that displays your last name and weight of mooring. Your inspection report will be sent to the appropriate Harbor Master every 2-3 years based on the town’s requirements.

Year-Round Services

This service provides an inspection service on the year it is due specified by the customer

Winter Sticks

Fall removal of mooring ball, pennant, mast buoy, and installation of your labeled winter stick. Your mooring ball will be stored at TBM or picked up by the customer. In the spring we will remove your winter stick, install the mooring ball, pennant, mast buoy, and customer provided permit sticker.

Inspection & Reconditioning

We will haul your entire mooring assembly, perform an inspection for needed repairs (with an estimate if repairs exceed $400), and recondition. We will reset your mooring, with a freshly painted ball that displays your last name and weight of mooring. Your inspection report will be sent to the appropriate Harbor Master.

Pulley Pole Inspection

We will perform an inspection on the pulley pole system and send a report to the appropriate Harbor Master.

Reset Mooring

We will haul and reset your mooring to new location coordinates.

We are an authorized mooring service provider for the towns of East Lyme, Waterford, and Old Lyme. We provide regular mooring inspections as per town requirements.

Inspection requirements are a minimum requirement and should not be relied upon for your safety or the safety of your vessel. Moorings wear differently depending on location, conditions, materials used, and the weight and type of vessel moored. TBM recommends an annual mooring inspection, especially in Niantic Bay, Black Point, Giants Neck, and Point O’ Woods. Coordinates must be provided by the customer and accurate.

SERVICE RATES

Please be advised that below pricing is based on group services. If singular services are required, additional charges will be applicable.

  • • Payment must be rendered prior to service.
  • • The mooring must be free of any vessel or any other attachments at the time of mooring removal. Please be advised that this should be no later than November 1st.
  • • We will schedule the service work during the fall and spring. The performance of the work is dependent on good weather conditions.
  • • Three Belles Marina is not responsible for the failure of any mooring equipment during the pulling, hauling, or setting of the mooring. It is possible that some or all of the mooring equipment may be lost because of the stress applied to the equipment components during these processes.The equipment may have also eroded or been damaged throughout the season.
